Cookie Notice

This Notice explains how Project Telemetry uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and in the Service, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Last updated: January 1, 2026 Effective: January 1, 2026

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as browser local storage, session tokens, and pixels. Together we refer to these as “cookies.” This Notice describes the categories we use and why. For how we handle personal information generally, see the Privacy Policy.

1. Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function; others are optional and used only where permitted (and, where required by law, with your consent).

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

CategoryPurposeExamplesCan you disable?
Strictly necessary Authentication and session management, load balancing, security (including CSRF protection and rate limiting), and core functionality. Session cookie (e.g. pt_session); CSRF token. No — required for the Service to work.
Preferences Remember your choices so the interface behaves the way you expect. Theme (pt_theme: light / blueprint); type scale (pt_type_scale); UI state. Yes — disabling resets preferences to defaults.
Analytics & performance Understand usage and diagnose errors to improve the Service. Used in aggregated/de-identified form. Usage analytics; error-monitoring identifiers. Yes — where offered, via your cookie controls or browser.

We do not use advertising or cross-context behavioral-tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share information collected through cookies for advertising.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by service providers acting on our behalf — for example, our payment processor (Stripe) during checkout, and our analytics and error-monitoring providers. These providers process the information under our instructions and their own privacy terms. The web fonts and icon assets we load are served for display purposes and are not used to track you across sites.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the Service.
  • Cookie controls. Where we present a cookie banner or preferences panel (for example, in regions that require consent for non-essential cookies), you can accept or reject optional categories there and change your choice later.
  • Opt-out signals. Where applicable, we honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).

5. Changes & Contact

We may update this Cookie Notice as our practices or applicable law change; we will revise the “Last updated” date. Questions about our use of cookies can be sent to privacy@projecttelemetry.com.
